What a nuisance for you Jo, I do empathise. Maybe an opportunity to read the books you've always wanted to read, but never had the time or just have a stroll in the sunshine...raining hard here today! Sending hugs and take care xx
Oh dear. I offer the suggestion of using notes for writing (I do on my phone) but use the microphone option & the words arrive ... on the notes & mostly well spelled & understood!
Hope you recover soon. I have arthritis and carpal tunnel. But thankfully it's not too bad. You might look into installing some kind of voice recognition typing software.
Sorry to hear you're incapacitated, Jo. What a bind! Well, we'll all be here waiting when you get back, fully restored and raring to go. Enjoy some time off and read lots. I've just read a good book about a group of older women friends you might enjoy. The Weekend by Charlotte Wood.
I am right-hand dominant and recovering from right shoulder surgery (almost 3 weeks ago now). It's all horrible, but in the end it will just be a blip. You can try voice-to-text; it's different from writing, but it does help get thoughts down for later. You should feel better once you get a proper cast.
Last year when temporarily found my wrists so damaged I couldn't type, I decided to call it a vacation and binge read. For some reason calling it a vacation made me less cranky. Hope healing moves quickly, and dogs behave themselves...or at the very least give you a chance to laugh.
Oh dear Jo . Sorry to hear you’ve broken your right hand . That’s a pain in all senses ! I’ve just been looking after my mum who’s had carpet tunnel ops so has had arms in slings so I appreciate your dilemma. Much love

Oh no, I've just seen this. What a thing to happen. Hope you are on the mend soon 🧡🧡

Ugh. What a literal pain this must be, Jo. But don’t worry about us. Health is the most important.
