I know exactly what you mean, Sheryl. Pipe dreams are important, otherwise we will never improve things. Lunchtime naps sound a great idea, mine was watching Neighbours, when I worked for myself it meant I took a lunch break, not quite a nap but not far off 😂
You opened up a very interesting world! Down the rabbit hole we go. I feel my particles are speeding up after intense cardio, yoga and lifting, I think it dialtes my time and aging. Staying curious and open to new things keeps me feeling young too. What do you think about epigenetics? Have you heard of https://blueprint.bryanjohnson.co/ ?
Thanks for the reminder to take a nap! I will definitely include it in my regimen. ❤️
Thanks Paolo. I had seen Bryan Johnson in the BBC iPlayer programme clic (but realised it may not be available everywhere) in my post. Thanks for the link I have had a quick look but will have a more detailed look later x
When I began reading about all the money and effort thrown at the "problem" of aging, what immediately came to mind is that if we threw all of that at improving society overall (education, more sane work/life balance, services for all, etc.) we could raise the quality of life, and most likely, the lifespan of all citizens of earth. A pipe dream, I know, but I do love science fiction. A note on napping: For over 20 years, since my kids were babies, I have laid down for an hour after lunch. My fancy Oura ring now tells me that most of the time I nap for 20-30 minutes during this time. It's just enough to recharge my battery and early enough to not impact my nighttime sleep. According to Oura, it is the optimal way to nap. Hmmm, maybe it will even add a couple of days to my lifespan?
