Isn't it lovely when we make a directional change in our lives that comes to us naturally and without warning? You were obviously more ready and open to a change than you realised. All strength to you.

Such a great post, Jo. Thank you for a lovely read.

And isn't it funny how certain routes touch us more than others? I too have a soft spot for the M40 - for me it evokes memories of theatre trips to Stratford, the drive on consecutive autumn weekends years ago to support my best friend in the run-up to her wedding, and the opportunity to count so many red kites, which are very scarce where I live.

New phases are good. Life is continuing its March forward. We are surviving and maybe even beginning to thrive. I remember when I started to feel that after hubby left. It took a very long time to get there, but when it came it was oh so good to get that glimmer of Me once again. Hope you are beginning to feel the same.

What a beautiful ode to roads! I completely understand. There’s a very specific portion of road where the M62 becomes the A63 -- the road surface changes, and it’s always then that I feel like I’m “home”, even thought I’d an entirely nondescript section of bland motorway. Thank you for so generously sharing !

Thank you Ellie, it's strange, but also reassuring, how journeys can make us feel at home or on the way home xxx

I don't believe it. I just wrote a bit of praise for you in coming to the realization that all your journeys were worth the time in bringing you insights.

Then, when I pressed POST something went wrong and the whole thing was lost. I will bring up one point I made: The spelling of your name is the beginning of all your journeys; having them turn to better journeys is excellent and you don't need to look back. You've just begun new and better journeys that will be easier to correct in directing.

For me, I'm constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop and sure enough, it does. I'm down to one pair of shoes and a pair of moccasins. I must guard them with my life. That means a change has to come or I will end with disappointing journeys.

Thank you, dear lady, for opening my eyes this morning. Now they must seek inward to find the journeys that will set me free.

It is so annoying when technology fails. Yes you are right all journeys bring their own bit of insight xx
