Hi Alison, sorry I only just realised it was, thank you so much for subscribing. I have no idea where this will go but thought it might be a nice thing to promote a different aging space …….
I’m with you on instructions. Much to my other half’s annoyance. I see it as a challenge - which usually it ends up being, more so than if I’d taken the time to read them. And time is too limited. But then when the plan works, without reading them, it’s a smug small win!
Then when eventually I do read the car handbook, I promptly forget what I was supposed to remember, but I will say it does sink in somewhere when I need it in an emergency. Like putting petrol in a diesel car and remembering to stop. Main problem it was the end of November in the freezing cold, on the A50/M1 junction, with a sheer drop the other side of the crash barrier. In my defence I had had a really long day training/meetings and I the pumps weren’t clear which was which. I also gave some very gallant (not) men a good laugh as they sped past me making stupid comments.
It was amazing the number of people who owned up to having done the same.

Exactly right xx
OMG you are describing me Jo! Most of our car journeys include the phrase ‘really must look at the handbook’...
