Here's one from the Golden Hippie Era. 'Love is all you need.' Tell that to a child lithium miner in the Congo, or someone who just had a (fill in the blanks).

The thing is, 'words of wisdom' are often not.

The good, flip, side. There's humor in them there words of wisdom!

I don't think people necessarily get wiser as they get older Jo; I think we do if we're naturally curious and perhaps a little introspective, but I think we're often reacting like giant children 🤣 I love a quote from Miranda Hart's new book 'how you do one thing is how you do everything' as it reminds me to slow down and stop approaching life as if it's a constant battle or something to be overcome. I sometimes try to give my older grandchildren advice, but I do believe we all learn life lessons through our own experiences, rather than through the wisdom of our grandma! I'll still try to give them the benefit of my experience, even if they think I'm a boring old sod x
