Just popping up to say hi I am still here but my ability to a) type with my left arm & b) be creative with my right arm in a cast are severely hampering my ability to write and publish my Substack. I am managing to come up with ideas in my head, but unfortunately they disappear as quickly as they appear - why does a broken arm affect my brain?. In my defence, I am now the proud owner of a metal plate in my wrist and I underestimated my recovery time. Therefore, the rabbits 🐇 have been having an extended holiday from my intrusion into their abode. I hope when I return it will be spring cleaned and ready for inspection.
I am dictating this post, but it seems all wrong. I miss the act of writing with my fingers on a keyboard or a fountain pen on paper or in a notebook. Dictating doesn’t feel like being a write. It is the first time I haven’t written in my daily diary for eight years. Only time will tell whether I have lost my Mojo/creativity - assuming I had any in the first place - or gained some insights into a different form of creativity. I have had some thoughts about a second Substack, but will keep that for a later day. I remembered to put the idea down before I forgot it. Now all I have to do is remember where I wrote it down.
Anyway, I will sign off now and wishing you all the very best with a little bit of advice tripping up concrete steps and using your right arm to stop yourself is generally not a good, although it protected my sunny smile 🤣.
Prompt a repeat but no apologies
Think of the one place you can escape into your mind where you can feel Tranquility and a sense of peace.Keep it in your mind for 3 - 5 minutes. When you have finished write down two things:
Firstly, describe the place what you can see, what you can hear, is there a breeze or is it indoors.
Secondly, how you feel before the three minutes and after the three minutes.Has it given you a bit of Calm?

Oh no! I’m so sorry that you’re out of action! Sending gentle hugs and vibes for swift healing! X
Hi, Jo. I've missed some of your posts because of annoying matters I've been dealing with. I know what you mean about writing with your fingers. My laptop has been without Internet since 2020 so I'm using a stylus on my cell phone to type, moving from one letter to the next.
I have a feeling you will heal quickly and completely.
Where I would like to be:
In a small cottage in a wooded area far from any city.
Why:
I would finally have the ability to finally write my book without interference by the demands of others.
Hope to hear from you soon.
